The MWDES/P forensic DNA swab is designed for collecting and securing biological traces from crime scenes. It is intended for workflows that require high material purity and repeatable evidence-handling procedures.
Key features
The swabs are free from human DNA, cDNA, RNA, DNases, RNases and PCR inhibitors, as confirmed by an authorised testing unit. They feature a durable plastic shaft resistant to breakage and an absorbent tip intended for collecting biological material.
Safe sample protection
The opposite end of the swab forms the cap of the protective tube, where the swab with secured material is placed for further examination. The tube is designed to protect the sample and to allow the collected material to air dry after removal of the second safety cap. Each swab also includes description labels.
